​RUN TO REMEMBER A VETERAN!!!

​We are so pleased to host our 17th Annual Run to Remember 5K.  This is currently the only USA Track & Field certified 5k course* available in Upton, MA.  Our traditional road race will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026. 

​Our race will honor all Active, Reserve, and Guard members and veterans who served our country in the past. Each participant is encouraged to wear the name of a veteran they wish to honor; however, the Post will stand ready to provide names if the runner does not personally know a veteran. Select a veteran's name now.

Online Pre-Registration closes at 7pm, Friday, October 2nd.  Online Day-of-registration will be open from 6:30am - 8:30am. Registration table will be open from 7:45am - 8:30am. Please plan on arriving early to register as we need to start the race promptly at 9am. *** NOTE:  In order to be guaranteed a t-shirt, you must register by Saturday, September 19th. ***

• Early registration is $30. Don’t wait to sign up!
  • $25.00: Ages 6 - 15
  • $25.00: Ages 80 - 100
• To be guaranteed a t-shirt, you must register by Saturday, September 19th.

EVENT DETAILS

Course:

• 5K and 2.25K is a mostly flat, family-friendly course. 100% roads.
• Walkers and joggers with strollers welcome - must start behind runners. No pets please. 

Times:

• 5K Race & 2.25K walk start at 9am Sharp! (Rain or Shine)
• Day-of-Registration table open from 7:45am to 8:30am at VFW
• 5K Day of race registration price is $35.
• Bibs & T-Shirts can also be picked up on Friday, 10/2 from 4-7pm

Kids Fun Run:

• For children ages 10 and under, the Kids Fun Run will be held after the official 5K. Distance varies according to age.
• Kid's Run Location: Baseball field behind VFW.
• Kid's Fun Run starts at 9:45am.   Registration on-site from 8am until 9:30am.
• Kid's Run Cost: $7.00 and EVERY kid gets a Medal, T-shirt, and Goody bag!
• In order to be guaranteed a t-shirt, you must register by Saturday, September 19th.

Race Packet Pick Up for Live Event:

• Race packet includes R2R Race Bib and R2R t-shirt (if ordered by Sept. 19th).
• Packets will be available for early pickup on Friday, October 2nd, 4 - 7pm at VFW Post 5594 and on race morning from 7:45 - 8:30am.
• Pick-up location: Upton VFW Post 5594, 15 Milford Street, Upton, MA 01568.

5K Awards:

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for Overall Male and Female
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners for Male and Female age groups: 12 and under; 13-15;16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79, 80+
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Awards for Male and Female Veterans
• 1st Place Award for Teacher, Firefighter & Police Officer

Amenities:​

• Water and toilets at check-in.
• Water at half-way point of race.
• Refreshments at finish.
