George L. Wood VFW Post 5594 will hold a Flea Market and Craft Fair on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The sale opens at 7 a.m. on the Post grounds along Route 140 in Upton. The sale ends by 1 p.m. There is no scheduled Rain Date.
Tables will feature handmade crafts as well as other new and used items at low prices. Dealer spaces are available for $10.00 and tables are $5.00 each. Dealer reservations are NOT required and Public Admission is Free so Come on Down! If you were contemplating your own yard sale, consider the better option of securing a space at this event where more people will see your items and you will have the welcome company and conversations with others in a friendly atmosphere. Proceeds from the flea market and craft sale will be used for Post programs and improvements. VFW Carnival 2019 is scheduled for May 9th - 12th. Our largest fundraiser of the year, Upton VFW Post 5594 is proud to bring back Cushing Amusements, "a classic fourth generation carnival," to Upton, MA for their 3rd year!
A celebration of Loyalty Day will be held on Saturday, May 4th, at 9 AM on Upton’s Town Common. The ceremony will include the laying of a wreath at the Vietnam War monument and presentation of the Massachusetts Medal of Liberty to the widow of Lt. Richard Rand. The Upton VFW Post 5594 has organized the event. Veterans and families are encouraged to attend. Coffee and refreshments will be offered at the VFW Post following the ceremony.
